Bottle necklace ~ DIY

To make this necklace you'll need:

Old nailpolish bottle:

An acetone (The industrial one is better) :

So... Start with cleaning bottles with acetone. Pour a little bit of acetone in and leave it for about half an hour (depends on how quickly the nailpolish will dissolve). Use gloves, because aceton can damage your hands. Close the bottle and shake it every few minutes.

Once you're done, bottles should be (perfectly) clean.

Probably you'll need a stopper for your bottles. You can use the original one (just pull out the brush), but I prefer to use wine cork stopper. Because they are too big (obviously:)) you'll need to cut it until it fits.

Now, you need to create a little loop, that you can hang your bottle. Twist a short piece of wire to create a loop.

Create a little hole and glue the wire into the stopper.
When you're done it should look something like this:

And you're practically done! Just hang it on a long chain. You can fill your bottle with whatever you'd like to.

And here's another one. Hope you like it! :)

P.S.: I'm so sorry for my english...

  1. Very cool! I like how you re-purposed your nail polish bottles! Would have never thought about that.
